NOC

I worked 9 months with a private co as a manager. I was asked to resign with a promise to give NOC with one month notice (as per contract 2 month notice if employee resigns). HR sent me email on the first day after submitting resignation confirming to provide NOC. On that assurance, I searched jobs here and when approached for NOC after getting job, they refused to give NOC. After more request asked to show offer letter, then submitted again request letter as they wanted. Still I am being troubled and waiting for NOC.
Now, if finally they don't give NOC and cancel my visa, can I lodge complaint with CID or labout dept or with both as I have email proof of confirmation to give me NOC.

I went to labour office in industrial area. They said for NOC, I should go to NHRC. Tomorrow I will go to NHRC. But do I need to lodge complaint with CID?

promises are made to be broken. always remember that! if its not in you contract (to give you NOC) then forget about it. go home and comeback after 2 years.
this is what happenes if the law dosent change according to the century.we call this as modern slavery and this has to change. the rule should be as simple as uae. according to me u canot go to the labour dept if ur contract dosent speak on noc. they do not look on job offer and only the contract. if they have told that they will give u noc in contract then u can go to labor dept. go and see for ur satisfaction.
im 23 years old and happy to say SINGLE!... i just ask them and give me my NOC. nothing much to say. guess, im just blessed though, Prayer helps, and a little bit sweetness when asking them.

good for you, but the op will be more appreciative if you share how you got yours. correct me if i am wrong, you are either on husband or father sponsorship,in that case you may not need an NOC or not difficult to get one, to transfer to another company.
if all those who haven't given an NOC were all Female, we don't have to ask them again twice or beg for an NOC.
i had my second NOC w/o problem. i hope and pray you'll get yours ASAP!
i think the same goes for all those who are promised NOC from their present company. first you get hold a letter of offer from another company only then you get an noc. it is illegal to stay in qatar with no sponsor even if you have noc at hand.
as i understand, your present company is asking you to show first a letter of offer from another company, only then they will issue you an NOC. if you do not find another company to work and no letter of offer to show their intent to hire you, then no NOC for you and go back to your country of origin.
really shame for all companies like this
You have no hope. Leave for two years and then come back

If your nationality is different from the Management of your company, that would really be a problem for you.
I had the same issue with my former company. i used to work for 4 years with them and i only have remaining 8 months to finish my 2 years BAN but they still won't give me an NOC. Shame on them!
If you're still in Doha, just go to the Labour Department to complaint.
