Is employee medical cover compulsory in Qatar

Hi All

I will be moving to Qatar from Dubai shortly and have a quick query.

I currently do not receive medical cover as its not legally compulsory to provide it in Dubai so i have to pay for my own cover. However i am moving to Qatar within the same company and have heard that companies in Qatar have to provide this for all employees. I know this law applies in Abu Dhabi also.

Can anybody confirm this.
