Any good Sea Beaches in Northern Qatar

Fuwairit beach is also called as turtle beach. (:

On the far northern part of Qatar it's pretty rocky along most of the coast. Al Khor is not really northern Qatar, but in the area of Ras Lafan is turtle beach which is pretty decent. You can get to it with a standard sedan. The sea turtles come back to this beach to lay their eggs.

Fuwairit is the best so far.

watch out for broken glasses on the beach. Just last week, I stepped on a small piece. Not FUN at all! Be sure to bring all your trashes with you and leave the beaches clean!

Don't worry about your car. My suzuki swift reached fuwairit in one piece. Just be a little bit careful when approaching the beach itself. You're going to do some offroading on this area but your car will be fine.

But my concern.. Are the roads good that I can go there... I don't have 4 X 4.. Are there any recreational facilities in Fuwairit... I am planning to go there tomorrow...

you didn't mention you're living in al khor that's why i suggested a place. well then, they say fuwairit, zikhreet and ghariya are all fairly good. :)

fuwairit is very clean!

staying in Al Khor only. but, I don't find this beach any worth spending some quality time. I am looking for beaches at the end of Al Shamal Road like Fuwairit or Al ghiriya....

to the OP it's very easy to find. there are lots of cottages and the good thing is there are shower areas. :)

i will change my mask to Spiderman's mask, m sure the kids will like it ! :)

i might pursue hubby to change plans knowing you'll be there. Kids wouldn't be safe having some dogs around. :((
