Pff, if you think the Brits are hard to find, try to find any Russians here!

You can. Some people are just way too arrogant to talk to people in the malls even if they like each other.

There are plenty of clubs and societies around. If you have a particular hobby or sport then search them and you shall make friends. Plenty of expats who are friendly. It can be quite daunting at first, but you'll should be amazed at how easy it is to make friends or find people with something in common. Good luck.

Columbus must have been really afraid when he sailed across the Atlantic not knowing whom he would meet!

Mr Qatar is part right, local girls do not like non-western men but will talk with western men.

Its up to your standards on what kind of friends you are looking? Some who will just keep you company, those who you just talk to regarding your hobbies or interest, those who will support you, those who will warm your bed or those that you will treasure for the rest of your life.

It depends on you, when you come here. So don't worry about it. As long as there are people, you will always have someone to become a friend!

well Qatar is not like united kingdom where you can speak friendly with any person u meet in a shopping mall or on a street.. here if you try to talk to some1 in malls or on roads you will find some blank stare and not everyone is very friendly coz of culture differences and one more thing dont ever try to speak a local women or a girl.. i know its hard to tolerate there beauty but u have too...

better to slow down ur friendship search and better to start from ur office receptionist or secretary.. if they are filipinos u dont need to work hard but if they are from middle east then u need some hard work and solid cage.. lolxx
