Noise pollution at Al Fardan Bus Station

It is a great nuisance to hear the sermons of Islamic "missionary" Zakir Naik daily played out at the Al Fardan Busstation mainly targetting the Hindus. (I myself is an Indian Muslim). Zakir Naik is a highly controversial person who is barred from entering many countries including US for his acerbic tongue and is also unpopular with many in India. His sort of exclusivism and supremacist ideology doesnt fit with the general tolerant culture of Islam and particularly Qatar which honours the religious sensitivities of the multi-religious population residing here. Zakir Naik's methodology too is questionable in a Islamic perspective, introducing many innovations like criticizing other's religion and scriptures in the name of "Islamic preaching". India itself is a secular country which gives religious freedom to all and dont promote any religion in secular arenas like public places. Such tolerance should be reciprocated here by turning off this nuisance at the bus station. Hope the authorities take note.

I have been watching various programmes of Dr.Zakir Naik, a researcher of comparative religions for the last few years and I believe his speeches not only enlighten followers of Islam, it helps followers of other religions who are not well versed or deprived of understanding about their scriptures.

He never criticized any other religions, rather he exposes to them what is told in their scriptures and thus explaining who is the Creator and advising what to follow. Of course this will not be digested by a few.

I wish this programme which is beneficial to mankind to be continued at Al Fardan bus station.

Great job brother, instead of this preaching if a musical program played over there, the comment will be 'nice' 'good music huh' ' i enjoyed it' bla bla bla, man if you hate him personally for what he is doing just hate him by your self, actually i don't have much idea about him either, but the point my comment here, your topic related to Islam and preaching, for an example if we call biscuit it will include every biscuits, there are lot of brands but we call biscuit in common same like that you call preaching it means in public view all preachers gonna be judge in same way, you know what lot of peoples doing their preaching with lot of sacrifice, some others lost their life too, but see coz of our personal thoughts we insult em in some way.

Could we not have some other programmes at the bus station instead of this one. Atleast then all the communities could join in and enjoy the programme and even take part in it and that would make the long wait at the bus station for the buses more bearable

Well said brother. The first time I heard someone complaining the methodology of preaching his own religion to non-believers. Anyway we are less affected since we don't understand any single word of the sermon. Besides we are immune to noise pollution.
