Does anyone knows what are the rules to import clothes to Qatar. For example if you are shipping about 20-40 items of clothing each month to Qatar. What are the rules to follow, do you pay tax, suppose if you want to sell the clothes are you charged an import duty or are they duty free. Please advice or lead me to the right source ( i.e website about these rules and regulations).

Thanks,

Zayir, thank you for the information. When you say personal stuff but must be in small quantity. How many items are you talking about and how often can you do it? Eg once a month or less or more?

For importing any materials to Doha, there are some import steps as given below:-

1) Valid Commercial License with activity of the specified goods to import and sale

2) Import License

3) COmmercial Invoice and Certificate of Origin must be attested from chamber of commerce from the shipping country)

4) Shipment must be under the name of the company if its commercial or else anyone can import their PERSONAL stuffs own name and there is no duty(Must be used or small quantity).

Hope the above meets your requirements,

Please contact if your need customs broker

Zayir

Stealth, I am asking for the rules and regulations of the country that way I do everything according to the law. I do not see anything wrong with following the law. If not, I will not be asking for advice.
