Hi all,
I would like to know what exactly is the meaning istimara. My istimara is valid till next year oct 2013....
Is istimara different from insurance..In my insurance paper I see that it is expired last month..
I registered the car on my name yesterday so i got one card with the car on my name..It that the registration card? or the istimara? Im kinda confused..
Please advise...Thank u
You would never get a new registration card from the Traffic Deptt with expired Insurance. Road Permit and Insurance are both mentioned on the card and they almost always expire simultaneously. You can take a look at the reverse of the card and your car's Insurance company name and date of expiry will be clearly mentioned. I can bet that the expiry date for Road Permit mentioned on the front of the Registration card will be same as the expiry date mentioned for the Insurance on the reverse.
I hope that answers your query.
Istimara is the Road Permit which is to be renewed every year. If you have recieved the Registration Card it will have both the Registration date and Expiry date of your road permit. You will get 30 days grace period from the date of expiry for both Road Permit & Insurance and on the other side there will be the name of your Insurance Company with the expiry date of your Insurance.
Istimara means your car registration Identity which is valid till Oct 2013 . Normally it is not possible to renew the Car registration without renewing the Insurance . Either you are looking at the last Year Insurance paper or New Insurance paper is missing from the car . Just go to the Insurance company to make sure that your car have a valid insurance . Insurance company's name must be mentioned in Istimara . Hope it helps ..............
