I was in jail for 6 months for loan and runaway case. I still have outstanding loan from the bank. My documents such as Passport and Resident Visa or Iqama are all expired for almost 4 years now.My documents are in the CID. The bank game me a temporary agreement to be able to pay them back,I have to give them offer letter from my new sponsor. the thing is that according To CID i cannot renew my residency because according to the law after 2 years of being reported as absconding and not be able to retrieve the passport to them within a year I have to exit or go outside the country. But I cannot leave the country because i have a travel banned. People please help me is there any other way that i can be able to get my documents and work here. I need Your help badly. Its been a year of struggle of finding solution. I hope you can enlighten me. I already went to Human rights Commission and there is no help.

Hi mabel as long as your friend have a copy of court case they will not arrest him or her . It's better to secure a document from human rights stating that they will provide a temporary working permit provided the passport wI'll be release of course you have to ask also the requirements and all to make sure that you are prepared to face wd the CID ? it's better also to bring a Arabic speaking friend .

Hi Official, what procedure you used to get your passport? I have a friend, he has an existing case filed against his employer and they said that his passport already submitted to CID but not sure of this info.

He went to Human Rights and advised him to get his passport in order to issue 'Temporary Work Permit' until he gets the final result of the court....just to earn for a living while waiting. Hope you can help me with your experience. My friend is afraid to go to CID coz there is a hearsay he might send straight to deportation area. By the way, congrats!

if so, you need not worry.

As long as you have an NOC, you can still apply for a job and sort out your issues.

Just a reminder though, your NOC is valid only for 12 months from the date of issue.

you're living in Qatar with no documents, no job...how do you live by?

I could answer your question coz I've been in that situation before...but I'm not sure if you're for real or just fishing.
