Qtel broadband installation frustration
Hi,
trying to get qtel to install broadband in my apartment is driving me crazy.
its been a month now since i signed up and i was told installation would be 7-10 days. that time came and went. i phoned them, they apologized and said someone would call in under two days!. nobody did so i called again and got the same response. after ten days of this i was told i had been put on priority! still nothing. i phoned yesterday and they said someone would call me back same day! guess what? nobody called.
my questions are, does anyone know how long this normally takes?
and does anyone know of any alternative? ive been looking at vodafone but they only do the pearl unless its on a mobile broadband package.

i did put comment on facebook and they contacted me almost immediately!! saying they would investigate this and get someone to call me as soon as possible. i was very optimistic then, then someone called and a guy turned up and looked at the junction box outside my place and said "yes there is no problem here we can activate your internet" that was five days ago and i have heard nothing since.
i think qtel may be in for a bit of a shock when vodafone get their licence for the rest of doha, my friend on the pearl pays 200 for 5mb internet and im going to be paying 330 for 2mb. and i cant believe vodafone will be as bad with their customer service.
"immediately" is differently defined in this place.
In my case, I've applied for Mozaic and it took less than 7 days to install the unit, activate the phone & internet and installation itself took

Write on Qtel's facebook page, they will contact you quickly to avoid public embarrassment, it worked for me every time
