Overtaking from right lane

Somehow I think they have got their priorities all wrong here.
Pretty much agree with all the comments including; "If overtaking on the right Is to be enforced as an offence then so should hogging the middle and outer lanes when the inside lane Is free and available for a vehicle travelling at their speed"

My favourite comment though; "Are they going to be catching the one's in uniform undertaking and speeding then?"

they feel funny while overtaking beside right line. many have skipped from speed camera during their speed up from right.

Also there are incidents happen while when u drive an old model Hyundai Excent like 2000 or 1999 model . police directly fine u . with out reason . the fine name will be "Loading passengers in a way that cause danger to people and properties"

Actually to have, and not use it.... and .... to not have, yet to use it makes a lot of difference... doesnt it?

"The MOI is still working out how to enforce that rule"

It's quite simple really. Deploy police to catch culprits or use CCTV cameras

Today I saw a Aggressive Qatari lady in Kia Sportage 4011** (left out the 2 digits) tailgaiting a Tiida bumper to bumper and then getting ahead and trying to slow down in front of the Tiida.

The Tiida guys were scared out of their lives for sure...lol

There's a difference between "overtaking" from the the right side and shifting to the right lane and proceeding to increase your speed in the same lane thus "overtaking" cars in the middle and left lane :P

For me i always think of my safety when on the road...they can be very angry with me i dont care as long as i will not put my life in jeopardy just to give in to their flashing f----ing headlights. It's ur safety above anything else.. Drive defensively and do not overtake trailer on curve! i almost got hit...hahaha!

The thing is I can not even argue with them - they are not even sure what my violation is...

And never will I tailgate - as my car is small - unlike LC's.

In many cases municipality's road design are having mistakes .. then what the drivers would do ?

Please take other's contributions in count ..

I think they got the idea from the done rider. no road need in this country. I saw some even drive on to footpath when he don't want to stop at the traffic signal or want he want to u-turn. Stop & park on the driveway to buy and eat Shawama in the car. park half car or one wheel on footpath, park head-in at the parallel parking so the rear came out on the driveway.

"not leaving enough space between the car and other front vehicles OR to overtaking another car from right side without a good reason..."

time: 0:00AM

(and I swear - I am already sleeping at that time)

Fine: 500.00

People make mistakes because others create circumstances for them.

Of course I agree that undertaking is illegal but most of us only do it when for example we are in the middle lane, somebody in front of us, normally in a Nissan Sunny or one of those Urvans are driving very slowly but there are a number of Land Cruisers flying down the outside lane.

dohacity, I agree with you.

Actually they have there own free lane.

They should also enforce a law for flashing lights / tailgating, forcing you to immediately moved to right lane even if not safe just to drive them at their own speed.

What about an LC driving at low speed at middle lane while using their mobile phones?

it is completely wrong..but as a counterpoint, i would guess that at least a significant percentage of these overtakes happen when slow stubborn drivers just won't move over from the overtaking lane to let faster cars pass..you need to consider all aspects and not just one

If ur car is landcruiser or range rover u can overtake no fine.

It's against the traffic law, but nobody cares!
