QL online bidding - Is it safe?
Dear Friends,
Have you tried to purchase an item using QL classified? I am being skeptical of everything considering the scammers out there waiting for the right opportunity. Eg. I saw someone selling an ipad worth 1600Qr, would you believe that it was new 64GB wifi + 4g?? On E-bay it cost around 2,800Qr, so I know that something's fishy going on.
Please don't get me wrong, QL classifed section is very good section for those people who knows what exactly they are looking for. I suggest that before you take the bait, try to check the price against the market and compre againts the item that you are looking for, if the price is too far or too cheap you have to think twice.
Good thing that I am a frequent e-bayer and I have US shipping address through Aramex... Your thoughts from the above-subject would be highly appreciated.
Eid Mubarak,
Mark
If the price is unusually low then suspect something fishy, the scamsters usually do not provide any local phone no.to contact them, instead they give an email id and will ask you to pay them via western union, even if they give a local phone no.the person answering will have no clue to the ad or the post in the QL,this is my experience, and I also prefer Ebay for online purchaes, but bulky itms better buy locally
my friend purchased a head phone and mobile .. so everything is not scam in classified
THUMB RULE FOR ANY PURCHASE: IF THE PRICE IS TO GOOD/UNBELIEVABLY CHEAP CONSIDER IT AS SCAM AND ACT ACCORDINGLY.
in QL, you call, meet in person, check the item/place, pay cash & shake hands. other than that, it's a scam.
Those are scams..
