Now they go about killing fisherman

Good old joe
By Good old joe

An Indian fisherman was killed and three others were wounded on Monday when a US navy ship fired at their small boat off Dubai in the waters of the southern Gulf. (AFP)

India called on the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday to investigate the fatal shooting of an Indian fisherman by a US navy ship in waters off Dubai.

Indian Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna called the incident "unfortunate" and said he hoped that "the necessary action will be initiated".

The UAE "has filed a case against this incident.

The USA has now moved on to killing innocent fisherman after killing innocent civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan and saying they were actually killing and murdering terrorists

Regarding the post"

"fubar said Kill the Americans? Why not ...

Kill the Americans? Why not just kick them out?

It's obvious that they aren't wanted here"

I am American and have been in Qatar for almost one year. I admit, I was hesitant on moving here, America has made us terrified of the Middle East. But since moving here, my opinion of the Middle East has changed drastically. I love it here. I love it more than being in America. I have no problem following the customs here. I enjoy seeing how families in the Middle East are united and spend quality time together. Driving past the Corniche on a weekend and seeing the families in the parks spending time with one another, this is not something I see in America. This may be a desert country, but it is beautiful in my eyes. I am loving that I am witnessing this city grow with beautiful buildings, green grass, flowers. Just as there are some bad people in the Middle East, there are also good ones. The same goes for America. You have the good and the bad. People here are much more friendlier, they work harder, they are committed to their families being close. I know many, many, many Americans who have nothing good to say about the Middle East and to all of them, I say that they are blind. I tell them how pleasant it is here and that they should visit sometime. I truly believe Americans think the entire Middle East is nothing but terrorists. This is so far from the truth. I enjoy seeing so many Middle Easterners wearing their thobes and abayas. When I hear the call to prayer, it is beautiful music to my ears. I am lucky to be here in such a great country. Not all Americans are bad, I know I'm not.

Going by the comments above, looks like greensolar is the only guy with right set of brains here.

If you play with fire you get burnt and if you come in the range of firing during military exercises; you get shot. Is that so hard to understand?

'Am jst wondering why these fishermen ignore the warning.Much more, they're aware that its a warship, and yet they intend to go near. Warship or not, even if a human being or an individual will be approached by someone u didnt know and would go near, what will be ur reaction???

By greensolar11• 17 Jul 2012 20:01
greensolar11

It was a much different situation than the doha roundabouts. Warships cannot forgive erratic drivers

By smiles_me• 17 Jul 2012 19:56
smiles_me

Precisely i think u've got the brain.I cannot see the logic of some comments here. Why on earth this boat approached the warship? What is there purpose in going near? Was the man killed and the other companions in that boat all of same nationality? Were they just trying to fish beside the warship?Even if its not a US warship,if that situation arise, theres no doubt, same action/reaction would be done.

Just sharing idea, may peace be all upon us.

1. Don't drive your boat toward an American, Russian, Chinese, Iran, Japan navy ship.

2. If you hear a warning shot (50mm).... it is an ACTUAL WARNING. Not a horn toot

thank god you also feel the pain of killing of innocent Pakistanis by US.. Only when you saw killing of an indian.. Plzz feel same for all the human beings.. nationality dosent matter always "being human"..

Some of the contributors here on Qatar Living seem to have as much (or as little) brain power as those fishermen who got shot at. Simple fact of the matter is you will get shot if you approach a patrolling navy vessel without permission. Regardless of whether its an American warship or an Indian one.

According to the fishermen no warning shots were fired. Looks like Indian fishermen are cheap targets for the Americans and Italians.

Why will it never happen Brit?

We are led to believe that the US is a bunch of war mongering oil thieves who are all drunk pig eating rapists. Or something.

Which is really strange, because the rulers of the Gulf give them so much business and oil and deals and defense contracts.

It's almost as if the Gulf monarchs want the US and their alcohol and their pork and their armies and their navies to be here.

How strange...

When authorities say stop you should stop the boat and do not accelerate the speed. Why would you approach a military ship with such speed? To ask for Paratha or Tea? To go picture taking with the ship?

The US Navy is wary of the surroundings, Bahrain accuses Iran of tension to it's territory. As an ally they must check all things specially suspicious. A boat can be used to smuggle things to cause conflict.

Security measures must be taken. Unfortunately it caused someone's life.

When the americans go about killing innocent people and fisherman around the globe they call it accidental killings but when they or their people get killed they call it terrorist attacks.
