Hello, I am married with 2 boys 2 & 4 year old, I have been offered work on Lusail project so trying to research the cost of living and life in Qatar. Really we want to speak with a similar family who could provide us with a realistic view to see if it is a step we should make. If anyone is prepared to talk to us on skype please send us your skype name and we will make contact. Would really appreciate your help, as you know it is a big step. If you don't want to skype then any written advice on here would be great. I know it probably is a really common posting but would like to know directly without trawling through others. Look forward to hearing from you.

Hello i think pemancar and then maxi dress is the good kaftan. So dont pemancar tv and then baju muslim is good site too. When we close pemancar fm and busana muslim, we can show pemancar radio and then baju muslimah. So dont miss baju anak and fm transmitter for your kaftan live and then citra indah. Thanks.

Cost per month:

1. Accomodation ideally 3 bed house - Apartment will be about 8-8.5K/ month. Villas between 9 and 12K/ month

2. Utilities Costs - depends on the type of accommodation, but roughly QAR 500-800/ month for water/ electricity

3. Phone costs - depends on your usage, local calls from landline to landline are free.

4. House Keeper - 1.5K/ month

5. School cost for 1 4 year old - Don't have kids, so I don't know :-(

6. Creche for 1 nearly 2 year old - Same as above

7. Food/drink - Dining out once a week = QAR 500 (decent resto, i.e.)

8. Sports/entertainment/socialising - 3K/ month... avg

9. Transport running costs - proably 2 cars - roughly 3K/ month for each car as EMI's

10. Others? - Groceries - In the range of 2K, or a li'l more, depending on the brands you buy

Don't be put off by the stupid answers on here. Most people on here are just on here to poke fun and give stupid answers. As marycatherine pointed out "you can't fix stupid".

My wife and I are moving to Qatar from Dubai shortly, (I'm Irish, she's English) no kids yet.

Send me a pm with any questions you have and I'll try my best to help out.

Try trawling through the others first, then come back with specific questions.

Hope you can manage the hot weather here.

But I can say the offer is perfect for your family when it comes to financial. Be prepared because you will come in a deserted place. Surely you can find a lot of people from your country also here. Good luck

I hope and am sure many helpful people will respond to you KBand2. Maybe if you give some more specifics about your job offer, people can answer better.
