How is flushing your car engine?
I wonder if flushing engine is good idea and if the people on this forum have tried it with Teyseer or Domasco (for Honda cars)? How is the service and if they noticed any betterment in car performance afterwards?
If this service provided at Teyseer by same party (I think its called autocare), that does it for Domasco?
Regards,
I hope Flushing the car engine doesn't make that much different. Out of this topic, I had a very worst experience with Tayseer service centre (opposite of the Airport) recently. My Honda civic 2003 with 150,000km(automatic), get the engine wash done with Tayseer and next day morning the gear box gone. Coz of in-experienced staffs! After they washed the car, the car was start jerking, didn't run smoothly. I took it back to them, they clean the spark plug holes with air pressure. Still the problem remains the same. Again I took it back to them, they said that the problem is the spark plugs and I changed it. They couldn't able to sort out the problem. Finally took it to the Honda, they said it needs new clutches and kits after full inspection. But it's very costly. I changed with a second hand gearbox. Spent nearly QR 5,000. I bought the car only for QR 14,000. I think the problem raised coz the stupid cleaner could have washed the gearbox sensor carelessly. Never suggest anyone to go to Tayseer to wash your car engine!
It should also be mentioned that many car manufacturers do not support the idea of flushing the engine!
Its just another way to to eat up your money....
Guys.. there is no point in doing it. The service centre guy out, uses some cheap oil after they drain out all your existing oil and then keep the vehicle in start mode for few minutes. and after draining out this they pour the new oil. That's all what they do.
Its just like we gargle our mouth, before we drink some water...
And to add more its noticed that some of them keep using the same oil for flushing purpose for a quite some time for all the cars.......
Ah, in fact I have a CRV 2005 with 70K KM on it. I change engine oil very regularly even before each 5000 KM. But the car seems a bit heavy and slow on pick up. When I asked Honda, the mechanic said may be consider flushing engine as they recommend it every 20K KM.
Regards,
its depend. on the engine oil life ... if ur engine burns the oil so fast ex. in 2000 km , do the flushing
if the oil is dirty also do it
if you didnot change the oil for a long time also change it
if no good reson u dont have 2 and no use no result
