talk abt abuse ? human rights ?
Sixteen Afghan civilians killed in rogue U.S. attack
(Reuters) - Sixteen Afghan civilians, including nine children, were shot dead in what witnesses described as a nighttime massacre on Sunday near a U.S. base in southern Afghanistan, and one U.S. soldier was in custody.
While U.S. officials rushed to draw a line between the rogue shooting and the ongoing efforts of a U.S. force of around 90,000, the incident is sure to further inflame Afghan anger triggered when U.S. soldiers burned copies of the Koran at a NATO base.
U.S. officials said an American staff sergeant from a unit based in Washington state was in custody after the attack on villagers in three houses. Multiple civilians were also wounded, a spokesman for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) coalition said
President Barack Obama called his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai promising to establish the facts quickly and "to hold fully accountable anyone responsible."
There were conflicting reports of how many shooters were involved, with U.S. officials asserting that a lone soldier was responsible, in contrast to witnesses' accounts that several U.S. soldiers were present.
The incident was one of the worst of its kind since the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.
The U.S. Embassy in Kabul said anti-U.S. reprisals were possible following the killings, just as the Koran burning incident a few weeks earlier had touched off widespread anti-Western protests in which at least 30 people died.
Neighbors and relatives of the dead said they had seen a group of U.S. soldiers arrive at their village in Kandahar's Panjwayi district at about 2 a.m., enter homes and open fire.
An Afghan man who said his children were killed in the shooting spree accused soldiers of later burning the bodies.
Obama said he was deeply saddened. "This incident is tragic and shocking and does not represent the exceptional character of our military and the respect that the United States has for the people of Afghanistan," Obama said in a statement.
"INTENTIONAL MURDERS"

superiority complex. Can you see how their Secretary of State and UN representative talks about world politics? Would you even consider these people and their bosses to apologize sincerely?
Just wish.
Do you ever imagine what kind of strain will it bring US if all soldiers were ask to come back to their hometown? Their only option is to leave current locations by creating new areas of conflict. That's BUSINESS.
I suppose the simplest answer is that they are too powerful...
Whilst we are being vocal, it is interesting that Karzai has kept pretty much quiet.
This is not the First Time Someone from Coalition Forces or Specially American Troops have killed Innocent Civilians, And you can't call that "Collateral Damage"...
I would Consider this Act of "Terrorism", & What happens next, Nothing "HE" Would be Court martial, Put in Prison for 6 months to an Year, then would be out roaming around on the Streets of U.S.A!!!
Did anyone Condemned the Burning of Quran at Bagram Airbase just a Month back, "Barrack Obama" Apologized to Afghan People, But that is not Enough!!!!
Why aren't Any Western Leader being Prosecuted for "Crimes Against Humanity"???
Brit, of course they say that...they have to justify their failures somehow, non? And as it is, blaming others for what one does is all too common...
I recall a politician many years ago saying that the ordinary public does not understand politics and the long term objectives of a nation. :o(
Brit, I always wonder,,,what kind of research do these people do on the people they want to fight BEFORE they are sending their troops in?
I fear NONE..or so it seems.
Seriously, even I could have told them that this was going to be one great big f.ck up.
I seriously hope they are from now on keeping their own people out of the ME and Africa and Asia.
and those who is calling it a war, must be aware that those who were killed by these soldiers, were unarmed civilians (mostly women and children) were inside their homes.
The public and even many of the politicians are now voicing their doubt - but of course it's too late.
Time to bring the troops home - sooner than later.
Thank U America
The things, that rest should learn, how to be beast when in Power.
I'd say everybody that even considered sending troops to Afghanistan should have their sanity evaluated.
His leaders sitting in washington are equally guilty for this terrible crime for sending this soldier to fight their dirty war in afghanistan. They should be tried too for sending this guy to carry out their evil deeds in afghanistan
congrats u on business now :)))
high regards for your concern for the unjustified death & destruction......for so long...
my prayers go with the humans who are affected by atrocious conditions....for so long... !!!
BG, on whole QL you got this to debate with? wish u all the best
this is all part of New world order, of depopulation
keep on sayin this post is useless or sumthing worse but dnt keep dem away from commenting... strange
ok now start shooting
Really I just downloaded it...
Very very saddening..Allahu Musta'an. Yes the perpetrator might have been a victim of mental illness however he could have also been motivated by brainwashing, racist hatred, etc. There is no way anyone can justify the crime as anything short of cold blooded murder, and if this criminal is not prosecuted to the toughest degree then lest assured crimes of this nature will continue,Audubillah! And yes sadly it is people like him that bring disgrace and disrepute to all those well intentioned brave soldiers the world over!
When The Producers was shown in Qatar, they cut out all the Nazi references.
Which is a bit disappointing, since the whole point of the movie is that they were producing a show about Nazis.
depends on obama
Will your movie be shown in Qatar?
Now back to my movie............... :P
no one forced u to comment
can i know how long will the americans kill muslims or innocent civilians ( as per american policy )
nope i dont call a murderer mental break down so u must b knowing who is stupid
Even if everyone here in QL agrees with your comment, how will it affect what is happening in Afghanistan?
Nobody here is in a position which can affect the American Policy.
Just focus on the positive side of things and I assure you that change or what your saying as "Exit" / "Leave" will be faster.
Are you really this stupid?
hijacking she is good at it
Muslims and Nazis???
Where did the Muslims come in?? :O
or ur trying to say the ppl killed in iraq where killed by normal soldiers and the mental ones deployed in afghanistan what lame excuse
A real tragedy.
he possibly had a hand in those 1 million dont u think so ?
Is that movie trying to liken Muslims to the Nazis??
BG you are confusing deaths resulting from a war with deaths resulting from the random act of a mentally deranged man. They are entirely different.
u must be lead actress for movie mission iraq or mission afghanistan
Im not in this movie actually.
Your title would go better with it though...
&feature=related
this forum is not related to ur movies
Anyone seen the Boy in the Striped Pajamas?
Now...."talk abt abuse ? human rights ?" would be a good title for that movie (based on true events).
no fubar they r highly stressed they suffer from break downs
BG?
All those Nigerians who keep blowing up churches must be pretty retarded too.
(Reuters) - More than one million Iraqis have died as a result of the conflict in their country since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, according to research conducted by one of Britain's leading polling groups.
well above 2 sources r there 1.Sixteen Afghan civilians killed in rogue U.S. attack
2.Footage showing American soldiers urinating on dead Afghan bodies
So everyone who suffers a mental breakdown in a high stress situation is "retarded" BG? And it happens on a daily basis does it? Please quote your sources.
mimi u mean to say they send the retarded ones to kill and later declare them mental or break down
Miss Mimi said What is surprising is not that it happened but that it doesn't happen more often.
yeah it happens on daily basis
9/11 = key to enter iraq and Afghanistan ( killing for 10 yrs ) cough sneeze aaachoooo :)
"US Army should regularly monitors their marine's psyclogical conditions and suspecting anyone of any disorders should be sent back home."
They do. And they urge other soldiers to report anyone who appears to be showing signs of breaking down or depression or a host of other mental illnesses.
Unfortunately when you have a standing army of over 14 million people on active duty, you are going to miss the odd person. Especially in a high stress environment like Afghanistan.
What is surprising is not that it happened but that it doesn't happen more often.
What he did was inexcusable and he will be prosecuted. May the ones he killed rest in peace.
9/11.....cough cough
Rest in peace little ones. I for one am fed up of hearing excuses for cases like these. The soldier deserves to be prosecuted and either put away for life or executed.
no personal discussions on board
how can killing stop the next target will be pakistan after afghanistan and then india , china n some point they will reach philippines then u will know the "benefit"
and your mindset is really bad. Are you running for public office?
... I thought that they were in afghanistan to actually protect the local people but what seems to be happening is exactly the opposite
foreign forces withdraw from Afghanistan, killing will stop?
What is unnecessary is the INTENT of your postings and the subsequent arguments about the incident. What is your intent?
I totally agree with Khanan. The act of killing innocent children and other people is barbaric and should be condemned. It is very easy to make statements that the soldier was having some breakdowns. Who knows if it was a brekdown or a deliberate massacre? If it was happened in any of the European countries there will be a couples of threads here condemning the act.
bush and obama keep on condemning and the killing continues
why unnecessary killing innocent if the same had happened in Philippines ?
didn't everyone say we condemn the incident. even Obama condemn it, so what do you really want in posting this thread?
khanan afghan's and iraqi's r no humans according to some
yes useless lives they r all useless only if its a maid she deserves sympathy
that's why I wonder why this thread get this long! It's a useless thread.
what benefits??
many useless threads on the main forums without any benfits...??
Nothing !
from this thread?
just arrived changes will happen if sumone will "exit " or "leave" and stop killing of innocent civilians
Khanan: tell me about it.
Babu, I admire you for taking some time off from your work to talk about something close to your heart.
But wouldn't it be better if you talk about something uplifting and encouraging?
Your post and responses will not change anything in Afghanistan, despite your passionate belief on this subject.
of finding excuses for this barbaric act and name calling on the thread, and giving cross-expamples,
for once condemn the barbaric act!
US Army should regularly monitors their marine's psyclogical conditions and suspecting anyone of any disorders should be sent back home.
Urination, Burning of the Holy Quran and now this, are igniting more and more anti-West/US sentiments.
here we go. were the islamic extremists (all of them) suffering breakdowns when they decided to bomb the london undergound and bus network?
where this thread goes..... :P
babu..u have been so active lately, are u having some dose? lol!
cherukkan didnt u hear abt mental break downs :)
John Doe, Why do you use the word 'monkey' in all your posts?
Your right Jon Doe
Its pointless trying to debate with the monkey he has no logic...
And thats the last time I ever reply to one of his pointless posts
I wish there was an ignore button on QL!
not at all the monkeys dont suffer 4m break downs we r healthy and fit
how can taliban invade , invasion is the birth right of western countries u can witness iraq n then afghanistan , libya
monkey, taliban can never invade any country....so, what do they do?... they behead their own cousins...
under the protection of US ??? or oil dragged by US
Western soldiers might have killed civilians but that happens in war. There is no ay to avoid it completely. But it wasn't the soldiers that decided to go to war so don't blame them!
But who on daily basis blows up innocent civilians in suicide bombings or I.E.D attacks in Iraq and Afghaninstan.. But you never choose to post about that because you dont like the truth to get in the way of one of your idiotic rants!
Ok Monkey go enjoy your home in Afghanistan without the western soldiers then..
And enjoy being killed by the Taliban for not having a long enough beard or watching young girls being beaten for going to school and their teachers killed for daring to teach educate a woman.
Enjoy your life in Qatar under the protection of US soldiers by the way!!!!
mimi i had to give u evidence abt other break downs
turbo have afghanis invaded US and r beheading or urinating on them ?
And furthermore about soldiers urinating on the dead taliban soldiers bodies..
Why don't you mention the fact that the Taliban regularly dismember western soldiers or civilian's bodies...
I make no excuses why they did that but you might understand a bit better if they had killed your best friend and chopped of his head and dragged him through the street.
But I'm guessing from what everyone thinks of you on here you probably dont have any friends!
if some afghan dude killed 1 american in the US, their would have been another war. god bless america the land of AIDS and herpes !
turbo i wld love to have a home in afghanistan if u kindly shift ur brothers who suffer from break downs n kill innocent ppl
Monkey is frustrated today.. didn't get his daily dose of bananas... backdoor
I have seen some truly idiotic posts from the Monkey before... but this one really does take the biscuit!
Im pretty sure this guy didn't even want to be in Afghanistan it was his government that made him go there. But he went along with the other thousands of brave soldiers to go do his job.
Unfortunately he had a mental break down due to the stresses of war, he is not the first and certainly wont be the last person that this happens to. I would love to see how you would cope with going to war Monkey! But Im pretty sure you wouldn't have the balls to go in the first place...
This is a truly tragic event and Im very sorry to all involved and my thoughts go out to all of those families who have lost someone in this incident.
How come you don't post when the Taliban kill innocent civilians in Afghanistan pretty much every week! You might like to jump on the anti west bandwaggon but funny how you guys IGNORE who has killed the most civilians in Afghanistan.
Rizks u can move on or ignore instead of passing irrelevant comments , thank u for ur understanding
Monkey seems to be in the mood to bash either non-muslims or bash the West/US...
i can predict very well where this thread gonna turn !
If you want to talk about the incident of soldiers urinating on dead bodies then post that article, don't post an article that has nothing to do with it.
so i think all r suffering from break down
before this incident
Footage showing American soldiers urinating on dead Afghan bodies has sparked outrage across the world - with Afghanistan's leaders labelling it as a 'recruitment tool for the Taliban'.

Is your article about all US soldiers? No. It's about one soldier who has a break down and went on a killing spree. It could happen to anyone anywhere.
miss mimi r all the U.S. soldiers suffering from break down ?
I don't know. I'm not his psychiatrist.
hey monkey... what is the relation between 'human rights' (your topic) and the action of a mentally unstable individual?
break down for how many years ?
They're saying he had a break down. Could have happened to anyone anywhere.
