Whale Shark found at Karachi's harbor
A 40-foot long whale shark was reeled in by fishermen in the port of karachi, pakistan,Tuesday, according to the Express Tribune.
The pakistan newspaper reported that Mehmood Khan, Owner of the Charai Fishery, said he heard the whale shark was first seen ten days ago nearly 100 miles from karachi. When the whale shark was found Tuesday, it was already dead.
As the 40-foot long and six-feet wide whale shark was lifted out of water by construction cranes, a large crowd gathered on the pier. The creature was sold for 1.7 million rupees or approximately $18,750 .
ABC News reports that whale shark was 41 feet long and more than 47,000 pounds.
That's a lot of whale skin sandals and boots .. Good profit ..
But that would be carrion.....sort of like road kill...yukkkkk

probably and I hope they would only study the dead shark as I know it is said origins of this haven't yet been exactly identified.
Its not healthy to eat a dead fish, it is a double dead meat...
I heard that the flesh of whale shark is very soft and tasty. Normally we are buying dead fish so it does not matter. They will cut the shark and will sell it at a very high margin.
its already sold for 1.7 million rupees tats $18,750 bucks...but when its already dead, wats the use of buying it and tat too at tat price ? :(
