Today i felt that there was sand storm in qatar. I have never seen a sand storm So Was it today?? or was it simply dust?? As i saw such climate for the first time??
It was dustier than normal, but you could expect to get the same sort of weather a few times a year. I don't know the distinction between a stand storm and a dusty day in Doha, but I do know that we've had a lot worse in recent years.
In over 15 years I only ever saw one genuine sandstorm in Qatar and that was in the early 90's I think.
Hundreds of feet high, miles long and rolling in like a tidal wave. Totally black inside and a howling wind. There was a photo of a mosque somewhere in west Bay. Half the mosque was in sunlight and the rest of it couldn't be seen for blowing sand.
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.

XBRL ,
You have to wait for a couple of days more to see the real 'sandstorm' .
As Zain 79 mentioned, this is just a dusty weather.
I wont really call it a storm but rather a dusty weather though you can expect to see some in summer.
Shukran for the confirmation.
Obviously I didn't see it living in Aberdeenshire but nobody else on QL had mentioned it which I am sure they would have done.
Ok then it was a Dust Storm :P
Are you sure it was a genuine sandstorm?
