My Mom arrived safely...Thanks to the gentleman who sat next to her..he was a Qatar Airways employee and was from our place so she could talk to him in our language....He helped her through the immigration and didn’t even let her call a porter…he took her luggage as well and accompanied her till the exit…:)

Good people still exist in this world..:)Thank you Mr.M!

oh, you are worried that she will get lost, since her English isn't perfect? well.. let me think.. I didn't speak Thai when I travelled to Thailand.. I didn't speak Spanish when I was in Barcelona, I didn't speak Italian in Rome, or Czech in Prague, or Dutch in Amsterdam... list can go on and on..

she will find the exit from the aircraft and then from the airport. Guaranteed :)

also business class passengers have a separate Que & 2-3 immigration counters ( but she has to carefully listen to the information or she can always speak to the QAS staff available & mention her class of travel & find her way to the particular Que) so i don't think there is any thing more for you to be worried of! :)

I normally avail Almaha services on arrival of family members, and its really perfect. They will assist in all aspect till you recieve your loved ones.

As far as booking is concerned you can book online with out any doubts i have availed their services thru online services just over the last friday and it was perfect no regrets. Just pay 260 QAR on their website and confirm your book reference / number. if possible even yuo can print yuor booking. You can book online just 8 hours earlier where as in case you want to book personally they only accept 24 hrs earlier. Seconly thru online booking you dont need any documents just flight details and passport details of the visitor. More over one more guide line while booking only at the end system will ask you that whether booking is made thru credit card of one of the passenger if you click no it willl not accept but i have personally check you can just check yes that passenger is credit card holder. When you have your booking do one thing for your satisfaction just give Almaha service a phone call with your booking reference, they willl confirm you that they have recieved your request and all will be set in place accordingly.

Dont worry go Ahead for the ease of your Mum, 260 QAR is not a bigger amount them mum ease.

people of 80 years old & more under visit visa clear through immigration, customs check & baggage area without any hassle.

one should only fear only if they have issues with their visa.

regardless of what visa type a passenger hold.

ask your mom to keep her passport, ticket copy (if available) & visa copy ready before she proceed to the immigration area/counter. instruct her on where exactly you live in DOH as the immigration staff may require these information.

i personally know people who clear by them selves before almaha does.

i bet she can clear by her self. dont waste your money, give your mom some quality time with that money which you are planing to spend on this service which you are looking at.

better to use the service orelse it might take much time for her to cum out specially if she is on visit visa.

go to the sales center in the arrivals terminal & talk to the sales staff there.

almaha only takes bookings prior to 24 hours of the flights, how ever depending on the work load they have a chance of accepting your booking, yet you might have to pay a sum of Qr 300.00 extra to the normal service fee.

i too agree with Khanan. she will be able to proceed her self if you are able of instructing her on how to. make sure you give her clear instructions. if she is a bit old, ask her to hire a porter for just Qr 20.00(porter counter is located to the left once you enter the baggage area. it will give you a porter ticket enabling her to hire a porter) which, the porter will locate the bag for her & bring her to you. if you wish to you can tip the porter with another additional amount of your choice.

i dont see any point of u wasting about 500-600qr when you can get the work done just in 20qr - 30qr.

all the best & wish your mom a pleasant stay in DOH!
