I realize this is an old thread, but I'm hoping someone can provide a loophole to the five-year rule. Already, from this thread there seems to be a suggestion that there is a way around the five-year rule. You can get your car shipped here, but will there be a problem actually registering it if it is older than five years? I am trying to do the same with a 10-year-old Chevrolet (Holden Commodore manufactured in Australia) that is difficult to replace.

I think you don't need to understand all rules of shipping and transportation and you only need to contact with good shipping company who provide shipping service to move your car. They will charge you for ship the car and it's enough.

This garage was the one where i got my 1970 Pontiac Parisienne fixed but unfortunately they just messed up my car. As you know customer servie is terrible here.

The guy who fixed my car is Vijay (Indian) and his number is 55172436. You can call him and get the number of the owner Hassan and get the information bcz i have seen him that he imported almost six cars in one year when my car was being fixed.

Thanx

I don't think that there is any problem in bringing any car from US to Qatar.

People use to buy vintage, classic and muscle cars of 60s and they ship them here. What i know they use to have their vehicles shipped here thru ebay.

I know one garage in Industrial Area, its name is EZDAN GARAGE, Street 26 and the guy name is Hassan Laal, he is a Qatari guy who loves classic cars and use to ship them here.

By the way, nice cars dude..

Sorry to tell you bad news but your cars are too old to bring to Qatar. You can only import cars less than 5 years old or cars that are over 37 years old (an antique/classic cars).
