Employer NOC needed????

I am here in Qatar under my husband's sponsorship & I'm about to take a job that is not exactly my dream job. The question is how easy would it be to change jobs??? Will I need NOC from my employer or from my husband? And how long is the notice period? (I know it depends on my contract, but what is the typical period here in Qatar?)

As your company does not sponsor you (your husband does)you will not need an NOC from your current employer for your next employer. Simly give them notice and leave at the end of the notice period. You will likely need to get a letter of no objection (NOC)from your husband to give to your new employer.

Your notice period will be stated in your contract and will be anything up to three months. The normal that I have encountered in one month.

If you are husband sponsored there is no need of NOC but you should get a work permit from Labour Department. Shifting jobs are easier if you are in husbands' sponsorship but check the contract you are signing to have clause of notice period. Normally it is 30 days notice.
