Dear All,

This is to get your opinion and advice regarding the studies after grade-12, currently the child is in grade-10 studying in Qatar.

1. Is it better to send to India (Staying in hostels)for professional education or to study in Qatar, which is good for girls. I know that there are only engineering & Medical profession available in Qatar and are very expensive, I am not sure about the quality.

2. Is the medical or engineering degree from universities in Qatar is approved in India and they can work in india with this degree?

3. If India is better for the querry No.1 given above then what about the studies after 10th grade, is better to continue in Qatar up to grade-12 or is it better to send to India for grade-11 & 12. I know that the campus environment has drastically changed.

I request you to kindly advice with authentic opinion/advice.

Regards,

Jose
Qatar.

To Answer your questions.

1) All Universities / Collages in Qatar are either US or UK Universities having branches (most of them are US based).

2) It is costly in terms of pricing (unless you earn at-least 50000 QR a month). At the price of 1 Year of education in Qatar, your child can finish off whole Engineering in India.

3) Degrees (specially medical degrees) are not recognized in India and Vice Versa. Either ways your child has to take up an exam before starting practicing.

Finally, if you plan to send your kid to India for further studies, make sure she gives her 12th exams in India coz as far as i am Informed, if the 12th exams are given outside India, you will have to enroll your child under NRI Quota.

Hope that helps.
