A nasty dog injured my cat!

I bought a starving kitty from street. It was living happily for couple of months. Every member of my family loved. It used to stay in front of my door. Yesterday night I heard a loud noise. When I checked the cat was not there. I searched the cat today and found it in the evening in a roof. It was not moving and shouting in pain. A huge cut and wound in it's belly area. I can't touch it because it's shout loudly when I try to touch. That nasty dog injured this cat very badly. What should I do? I live in Al wakra.

I sent an Email to Qatarvet.com 2 months ago for another problem (another kitty which died). Funny thing is that , I got a reply after 1 month. They advised me to take an appointment and bring 200 riyals only for the consultancy.

Now what should I do with this injured cat :(. It's suffering in extreme pain.

Now I am very happy! 2 ladies from Q.A.W.S came to my home and took the kitty for treatment! Now at-least the cat won't die in sufferings , someone will be there to take care of it. Please everyone pray for it.

The offices may have been closed for the evening, I know Doha Vets and Qatar Vets answer their phones during regular business hours (which are listed on the websites). I've never dealt with the Canadian Vet Surgery.

Why would you send an email if you need to get into see a doctor?

Try to find the poor cat.. He is going to suffer and die. On Cats in Qatar facebook page there are a lot of information about government vet. Good luck.

Airport Road, you would have to go upto Matar Kadeem Signal and take a U Turn and come back moving towards Wakhra, to be precise is is next to the New Jameel Showroom. All the Best to your Kitty hope she survives

I don't know from where that dog came from. I have never seen any Dog in my area :(. Bad news is I can't find the Cat in the roof. :( It an away in somewhere else with that huge wound and pain ..arghhhh

The link you provided are good for nothing. They does not take the phone, replies to email after 1 month and ask for money.

Why Qatar does not have any vet for free from Government? Why there is no huge animal shelter?

www.qatarvet.com

www.dohavets.com

www.canvetdoha.com

are 3 vets in Doha - check the website for locations and timings and telephone numbers

BTW - is the dog a stray? Unfortunately, in the animal kingdom, if you're hungry, it's not considered "nasty" to kill and eat another animal. It's one of the reasons my 3 kitties are indoor kitties only, but I know that's not always a good option for all kitty carers.

Good luck.

Can anyone give the address of a nearby Vet?

You have to take it to the vet ASAP - put it in a box or a cat carrier, put it in the car, go to the vet. Medical care for pets or expats here is not free - this creature is depending on YOU to do the right thing. Take it to the vet now.

try to get it down somehow - water food anything, then take it to the vets.

Or get a big net (such as they have at pools - seems cruel but it may be the only way

You have to take it to a vet.
