we really don't want to indulge ourselves in bribery.what khokhoy said is just a clear picture of the process- "sometimes"

..it's the urgency of having a family/resident visa we're discussing here.'been through that situation too.the mandoob, who might even have his own resources inside the ministry, told us to pay extra and he'll take charge of everything. In 2weeks, i got my QID. We may have paid him hefty amount but it's all worth it

i also went there (ministry of labor) to ask what's the reason and seems nobody understand me at all. so frustrating.if i will send my wife back home can apply directly to immigration for resident visa?

There is no fix crieteria for getting Visa for Wife. I applied with complete documents like Bank Statement, Company's letter, Salary Certificate matching with Bank statement at QR 8,000 and my Designation over Visa is Accountant, and i got rejected. I went there to ask the reason of rejection but all in vain no body is there to help you or to understand English Language.  

its not that easy to changes your designation more often happen is you need to resign and rehired again in your company with different item again it defends which comm you are right now.....dont trust those people who promise you that they can help you trust me charges to my own experience.they suck everything you got for nothing dont be a fool cause they know you need it badly....what can i advices is send your wife were ever she came from then as soon the plane leaves in qatar go to emigration and apply again in a week time she can come back or if you have time find a company that can sponsor her or let her work and everything will be ok hope help you God bless

@khokoy and ezraloise - I dont think its a good suggestion - its some sort of bribery, and we dont want to tolerate it.. right? It's their mandoob's job and he is paid to do that., no need to bribe him to do his work.

im just so frustrated right now, the mandoob is not cooperating and my wife visa is soon to be expired. im just so confused about this visa thing I thought I can sponsor my wife ocz i already got all the requirements that needed especially the salary part and now with this designation or visa type.

clover18,its depend upon only your reference, approach, wasta... to be true..even if u have a pipe fitter visa, electician visa then, you will be able to bring your wife and family here.. just find someone to help you..requirements are 7.5K salary, thats all.. i don't know exactly about the profession... but its seems not a problem offer him some money, this is what i can suggest, then see, how fast he is going to do your job

how many months it will take to change the designantion or the visa? it is possible to change from secretary to engineer with IT diploma?

Our company have engineer visa but can i change it?im IT graduate do they allow that.I already told my boss about it but still no positive answer until now.

i already ask our mandoob to help me with my wife visa but everytime i call him he just give me lot of excuses , do you know someone who can help me? i will pay if necessary.

others have done it ,submit a letter written in arabic asking for 6 months extension put reasons why you need extension.ask also your mandoob they're the expert on this matter.
