Laptop Desktop Repairs
Dear Friends,
Any one calling the technicians for Laptop / Desktop repairs, please take caution. They say the charges are only QR 50 for their service. But when they complete the job they demand atleat QR100 and their transportation charges justifying various reasons. I have two bitter experiances. Once they leave with your money, if call them for any help, they dont answer your call. My Laptop is down for the last 3 days now after spending nearly QR300. Better take to reputed shops and get your repairs done.
Redington - Authorized Service Center of Compaq - They will replace/repair your screen. Please dont approach any cheap rate technicians or shops.

A friend bought a supposed "brand new" hard disk from Sofitel and asked me to install it for him to his laptop. I tested it first by putting it to an enclosure so that it will serve as an external drive. To my surprise, the hard disk isn't new! There were data on it, OEM data from a Dell laptop. It has 2 partition, 1 for the system and the other for recovery.They removed it from a laptop they are selling, and sold it as a "brand new" hard disk. clever enough if the one who bought isn't smart enough.
What about sofitel? Are those guys any good?

The service technician after formating the hard disk, he could not load Office 2007. He had it in the pen drive. He said he would bring the C.D and load it. He never came back. But he collected the money and does not answer the call also. Please tell me if you can help.
if it's a hardware related issue, don't ever trust techs who are not affiliated with any authorized service center. Hardware related issues most of the time need replacement parts. These cheap techs only know basic troubleshooting and mostly are software troubleshooting. They really don't know how to diagnose the root of the problem. What they are doing are merely REMEDY, not a SOLUTION to the problem. If the root of the problem isn't solved, chances are the problem will persist which happened to you already.
why not learn how to do it yourself... i did... that's a good way to save money.You wouldn't happen to have Apple, do you? If you do... ask a friend that is good in PC's and change it...
why you need cheap level Service. Qualified,manufacture trained technicians service may cost 250 to 300 Qr. Dont depend any low call technicins for repairing your laptop or any valuable things. Tell me what is wrong with your laptop. i think i can help you to resolve your issue.
