Gratuity
Hi All,
I worked for a company nearly 8 years( in qatar).Due to such circumstances i did not wish to continue with them, so i ask for a release, at first they did not agree but later they agreed for it.
When i started to proceed with the visa transfer etc, they forcefully demanded from me an undated cheque amount Qr 20000.00 saying that i owe them the particular amount.
As i somehow need to get the release i issued them an undated cheque in order to get th NOC.Now that the visa has been transfered to the new company.
My question is, for a period of 8 years apro;QR 70000.00 company owe me as a gratuity and other benfits.When i ask for it they mentioned to me without any hesitation that the NOC is your Gratuity.(Funniest thing is that they follow the islamic sharia in such issues).
If i go to the labour will i get the justice or things will turn into their favor?they did not even settelled my salary for the last month i worked for them.And i did not sighned any clearance paper upto now.
Is there any time period if i need to file a case, if it is so within how many days should i infrorm to the labour?

Go and register your complain in labor department with a copy of your old employment contract. Rush and dont wait for any other things.
Go to th labor department immediately,but keet it in mind that getting a release is not a small thing even you have all your rights to get your end term benefits.So file a complaint against them in Labor department without further delay, forget about the time limit.RUSH..............
