Gratuity
Hi All,
Please kindly advice me about my gratuity payment of 55,000 QR which the company is saying, this amonut is offset for the release/Noc which they gave.
I worked for the company for 8 years and they provided me release instead of paying my gratuity. Also i have a loan to the company around 20000.00 QR which they took an undated check from me.
They have also obtained my personal sim. Please kindly advice me the steps i should take and the company is not suporting me in any means. There stance is very clrear about not providing any funds for me.
PN: I did not have any agreement between the company that about my gratuity to be redeemed for NOC. Presently my sponsorship is changed to the new sponsor.
Please advice.

Brother, i feel its much easier for you now if u have ur old contract with u, just report it in labour department and continue working in your present company, if you win alhamdulillah, otherwise its upto you....

whether they,ll give you NOC or not your employer should pay your gratuity dues.all of my colleagues who were given release by our company received their gratuities and now they,re working in another company.you should/must go to labor department to file your complain,soon they will give you.inform us also what will happen ok.
the labour rules says that the gratuity must be paid from 1/1/2005 (as per the new law) this is a must for any employee. the amount is 21days of current salary per year. so you should get from 2005 to date. if you have your contract with you than you can approach labour department. but i feel that you should have done this before your sponsorship changed. but still you can go to labour department to claim your rights.good luck!
Check ur contract what does it say about gratuity and about the job termination/retirement....
they must have submitted a copy to the labour department for getting you a sponsorship. Go to the labour department and/or human rights commission. they will definitely help you.
usually the terms of contract are standard about gratuity and leaving/switiching jobs...

check your contract. what does it say about graduity ??? If there is anything mentioned about that, go to the labour department.
I don't know the rules, but it's absolutely unfairAre they selling Nocs?
