Obtaining Entry visa

Hi,

Today I got an official offer letter from my employer in Qatar.

The employer has instructed, not to resign from current organization unless I get the Entry visa.

It seems it takes atleast 2 weeks to get the visa since its ramadan in Qatar.

I need to know how much is the possibility of not getting the Entry visa? Can I take a calculated risk of resigning my current org before I get the Entry visa?

Due to some unaviodable circumstance I need to take this step.

Please help

agreed with slayerfaith, there is no contractual binding with qatar employer and you, till visa released and appointment signed.i'm also waiting for my visa to release, and hv not tender resignation to my current employer, eventhough may lose one month salary if give less than 3 months notice later.. but u might recover the lost in your first/two months salary in qatar, depends on salary different in your current company and in qatar.

Please put into consideration that official offer letter may not be called official unless both parties signed and agreed. Do not put yourself in any problem by resigning ahead.

Well it all depends upon the availability of approved Indian Visas with your employer.  Secondly, profession of the visa must suit to your designation as per your Employment Contract.  Suppose, if they do not have approved Indian Visas, then it might take 4 weeks to 6 weeks depending upon the credibility of your employer/Company.  Anyway, it is not wise to resign until you receive your entry visa.  Best of Luck
