Rather its what we do with such knowledge that counts. These wives for example decided they do not deserve such men so they opted out but some may feel,due to their own presumed or real, shortcommings that they should continue in marriages of this nature. God tests us all and its up to us to chose whats best for us! 

Fathimah, maybe this acceptance is one of the factors that  make it possible for the saga to continue...indefinitely.

wishful thinking on my part. It just pains me how people like this often manage to not only get away with such deceit but also go on to repeat them again and again. But hey..as a Muslima I accept that ultimately we all get what we deserve!

These 33 were a bit more stupid(if that is even possible!) than the rest of this lying,hypocritical Gulf Arab lot,no big deal is it?...nobody hears is naive enough to think this is a one-off incident right?...

I think the best option is to name and shame these men by publishing their photos in the local paper ..

MBK.... actually thats not such a bad idea to implement... can you imagine here if all the Qatari women had to issue NOCs and exit permits to their husbands before they coud leave the country... wonder how many would be allowed to have multi-exit visas;-p

I remember seeing this cartoon in the Gulf Times showing an Arab woman clinging on the outside of airplane with her husband inside with this caption."I thought you said that you were going to Makkah, then why are you on the plane to Bangkok?"
