RP for male Student in UAE

An 18 yrs old male student is going to college in UAE while his family stay here in Qatar. His Qatari RP expires 10/2012.

I know that he cannot have 2 RPs, the question is, should his Qatari RP get canceled in order for the UAE RP get issues by the college over there?

Ok, if you wonder why I ask the question and answer it, because I got the info from somewhere else.

Students CAN have 2 RPs, one from UAE and one from Qatar. Workers can't.
