I am use to the hot dusty sand storms coming from the UAE so it should be fine. But I have never done ramadan outside of America so thst will be interesting.. Thanks for all the support. I can imagine that the rules are more extreme than the UAE as well.. hmmm this should be fun. and xxc- support just cuz im Leb?? typical, thanks

The Arabic transilation in your profile is "funny" for the most decent term I can use. I t should be:

"بسيطة ولكني أسعى للكمال"

if she's been in dubai... she might find a bit boring here.

we all know that dubai is better (in terms of party/night/social life)

but if she's not that type, she may live here well satisfied.

coming from UAE... nothing to worry... only difference is there is little or no night life here in Doha..most of the people coming from Dubai wont like it. if you survive the first few months...you will get used in some time...

Friendly warning - please stay away from Darude he is highly inflammable.

A Lebanese holding American nationality or however you want to order. She holds both nationalities!

Laila, some tips:

- Don't use your real name on public forum.

- Get used to the nosy guys like myself checking your profile and daring to comment onhow interesting it is (Young Lebanese American joined Muslim expat & Religious teaching groups and not interested in Americans on one hand and on the other your message to all is this famous liberative on "Only God can Judge Me". You are definitely an interesting character.)

What's a Lebanese American? Are you Lebanese or are you American?

By Onesoul• 16 Jun 2011 07:47
Onesoul

I am Lebanese American, sorry for the confusion. I am coming for work. I currently live in the UAE and am transferring to Qatar next month. A bit worried about starting over and going through the whole process of meeting people and getting use to things. I am use to the heat since I am in the UAE, so that won't be a problem. :)

There are lots of Lebanese here. You can go to the bars or just chill with a Shisha at a trendy spot at Souq Waqif. Welcome and enjoy! ;o)
