correction to some of the answers; according to MOI website

"The baby should have a passport or his / her name should be added in the passport of any one of the parent"

No need of seperate passport for the baby.

Hi,If the wife is under family visa , sponsored by her husband and has a valid RP, baby will get visa on arrival in Qatar. If she has RP and not under husband sponsorship [for eg: work visa] baby will not get visa on arrival. I personally know 2 cases like this where they had to take baby back to home country as the mothers were under company sponsorship and the authorieties denied entry to baby. In those case you will ahve to apply for visit visa / or residece visa for the baby first to bring the baby here. Hope this helps.
