My 8 months old son who was born here in Qatar will be travelling from Qatar to Philippines and from Philippines to Qatar (after 1 month) together with his Grandmother and Grandfather. My son has a family visa valid ‘till January 2012.

Is it required to obtain DSWD Permit / Travel Clearance?
Aside from these, is there any other documents we need to arrange?

Thank you.

i've been reviewing the procedure from DSWD website but i have a doubt. From that, no need for any travel clearance if the baby was born here or he/she has a resident permit.

Anyway, i'll just ring them. thank you all! have a nice day!

Make sure that you have the Original Birth certificates when you go through customs and immigration. Ensure you also have photocopies of such when required.

hi, as far as i know traveling from Doha to Phils does not require DSWD permit but traveling from Phils to Doha does. ang alam ko kasi basta minor ang babyahe and NOT traveling with his/her parents required manguha ng permit to travel issued by the DSWD, this will serve as a proof that aware ang parents na babyahe abroad ang anak nila.

you better check with the DSWD or DFA website to get further details.

Hi. If your son is on a resident permit or family visa, he does not need any permit to travel from DSWD regardless of age. This is an exemption according to their policy. You might need a certification from POLO so that your son can get a discount in paying travel tax since you are an OFW. Terminal fee is as it is for everyone.
