Hi there, any advise re best way to rent villa in compound in doha, will be there in few days. I see accomodation advertised in this site,,,other rent ressource? Thanks
There really is no set practice in Qatar, something that will hopefully change on day if they ever regulate the real estate industry. More and more agents are charging tenants, because the owners are paying less commission than they used to, and it's a guarantee of money as opposed to potentially getting nothing from the owner! It will also depend how much commission the owner is paying as to whether some will charge.Expect to pay 50% of a months rent MAX but there's a chance of paying nothing. What we find is that tenants are happy to pay if they get great service, but it's the cowboys who do a bad job then expect commission that are the problem.
Hi. This site is pretty good, but a lot of the properties are not listed by reputable real estate agents, most of which are not attached to companies. I'd recommend choosing a few good agents who will look after your best interests.
I can help you and will PM you my details. With regards to other agents in town, I'd speak to Craig Mitchinson at Mirage and Karl Bishop at Coreo. I'll send you their details as well.
