Hi all, freinds i just heard from someone that Qatar shut downs all the Islamic branches of banks such as QNB-Islami.. i dont know the reason but my question is that is this true or rumour.. coz my account is in QNB-Islami & now a days i am in abroad..so what can i do now..please help me in this issue..thanx in advance..

They have to close their Islamic branches by Dec 31/11. Contact your bank directly for details.

Yes it is true the new law asks the "classical" banks to get rid of or to split from their islamic branches.

Some will maintain the islamic branches as a separate bank.

With all due respect. This should be addressed directly with QNB Al Islami.

The public forum can do little "or nothing" to help you on this.

Call the bank immediately and ask for details on this "mentioned" closure of islamic banking
