Breaking a rent lease
We are leaving Doha and have given our landloard 3 months notice of our intended departure.They wish to impose a 2 month rent penalty.There is no clause in our rent contract regarding breaking of the lease early.can they impose this penalty after we have given them such a long notice to quit?
Hi..I am leaving Qatar in the middle of my rental contract. My landlord told me that all I need to do is give him a copy of my cancelled residence permit and he will give me my deposit back. I work for myself so that is all I need. If you are working for a company, get a letter from them saying that you are leaving the country and that your contract is finished. Your landlord is not dealing fairly with you. I would suggest you go to someone above him. Good luck. I hope this is helpful.
