Begging is a profession in India, they are million'rs. They have houses worth millions, they are into this profession as long as 30-40 years. There is a film based on it 'Traffic Signal' explained how one get's training in begging. This is a syndicate of beggers, remind you these are people migrated to Qatar. In mideast its not easy to do something illegal, the laws are strict. And,they are aware of this. And, this is a part time job. Its not an individual acting as an handicap, and gets into begging. Its the people behind it forcing such innocent to do such act, and take a larger chunk of the profits made. 10 riyals is 100 rupee, just imagine 100 riyals a day, is 1000 rupee in India. 30 days is 30,000 a salary of an executive in India.

I thought that if you are a Qatari, then you have a lot of governmental aid and charities support... and if you are an expat, regardless where you came from, then someone must have sponsored you to get here, so you must be working somewhere... so where do these beggars come from?!

Begging is illegal not allowed here as Qatar charity is helping those needy people who approach them.

You can call police if you see some one begging in public places.
