Last week, one representative of water filter company visited my house and demonstrated to prove poor quality of filtered tap water and bottled water, using some electrodes in each samples. All the water sample, except the sample brought along with him, become dark brown color. He explained, the color is because of the presence of chemicals, which are harmful and only way to avoid is using quality water filter. Could any body advice me on the reliability of this test and which water in Qatar is good for dinking

Do you get bottled water from springs here? It's the same RO again. You got me!

i think all bottled water is safe enough, otherwise it will not have a license to distribute/sell its items.

I got that RO Unit installed at my home. Past two months we have been consuming the water from it and feel it is lighter than bottled waters and from the desalinated water. It just filters water and all we get is soft water. One thing to share. There is a whole lot taste difference between Nestle, Rayyan bottled waters.

All I considered is a healthy, safe and clean drinking water for my family in this part of the world. As I understand 60% of the human body is constituted with water. Indeed, it worth spending for it.

The real scam is you keep spending... the coils inside have to be periodically changed almost every 6 months.... depending upon the quantity of water passed through it.

This unit name is RO. reverse osmosis. this filtre basically reduce salts in water. more salts or less salt both are not good for our health. so with this filter u can mantain TDS value in water. if you can offored it is not bad. you can use this water for cooking purpose at least if u not like its taste. i m sure this water is not harmfull at all. Thanks

Coming 2 home and showing such demonstrations is merely a marketing strategy.... Bottled water is safe 2 drink...

I never heard people died in Qatar because he/she consumed bottled water...

Just be aware of high in Sodium content for it can trigger gal stones, or kidney stones. as much as possible the lowest of sodium content would be better.

The sales person you refer had been to my place too about a year back but i suspect there is some TRICK in this . I asked him why is that the health dipartment object if the water sold in cans or bottles are so inferior in quality? he had no answer, the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) are well within permissible limits for human consumption and that is the basic criteria , please do not get cheated , distiled water is not for drinking and water must have some minerals etc. I can say the water we get in big bottles is good and safe, do not get cheated by TRICKSTERS.

I did have few sales guys visiting to promote the water filter, but I personally do not see any harm in using the bottled water. The filters for tap water might be good, but why aren't they available in big stores. Or even if they are, I guess it is a personal choice and for me it looks like a scam only.
