I Just called the German Embassy as what my frnds told me that they will accept application for a Schengen visa...but they didn't It's in AbU Dhabie? as what the receptionist in German Embassy said!
I read that the resident permit should be not less than 6 months. I have been working in qatar since 2010-11-06 and I would love to apply exactly on the 21st May!!! My question is : What do they mean by not less than 6 months ? because what I understand is that my resident permit will end on 2011-11-06 and on the 21st of May, I will have only 5 months and two weeks to renew it again which is LESS THAN 6 MONTHS ??? Is that what they mean by 6 months or sth else ? So can I apply or no ?!!!
That's what it is writen on my passport ( valid until 2011-11-06), but I know that my job contract is Two years! I am really confused ??? I need help guys. Thanks in Advance
Schengen visa can be used to travel to 25 EU countries including Sweden.
When I travelled to Italy, I applied in French Embassy with all documents including hotel reservation and airticket to Paris. I was issued the visa which I used to travel to Rome. Why not apply in other EU consulate for a visa without mentioning your destination is Sweden.
The Embassy has introduced a new procedure for booking appointments via e-mail: [email protected] or phone number: +971-2-417 88 88. The phone will be open for bookings Sunday – Wednesday between 13:00-15:00 and Thursday between 10:00-12:00.
Well you could always go through Libya now as they have no controls on who is coming in or going out at the moment and I suppose it should go on for the next few weeks. Visitors form Libya's neighbouring countries are taking that route right now to go to spain, italy and onwards
Baldrick, there IS no Swedish Embassy here. Hence, another designated embassy represents them in Visa and other Consular affairs.
That's supposed to be Italy, for Qatar.
(Although - I went to the Italian Embassy a couple of days ago to get a document stamped, and saw a sign that said they do not issue Visas for travel to Italy...strange or what? Of course, I didn't read the fine print as it doesn't concern me, so maybe there are caveats. The Swedes say that Italy represents them still.)

You have to apply in Swedish Embassy as you are landing in Sweden.

Best to call and find out.
Just a thought, Swedish Embassy?
From what I know, the Italian Embassy in Doha issues Schengen visas for visits to Sweden.
