I was just wondering if anyone had visited the Pak embassy in Doha. It was my first time there are i am new to the country to enquire about NICOP. I could not beleive my eyes as it is totally unorganised, people queing, getting pushed around and I am sad to say when i approach some of the staff they do not want to know or help. They have no information desks.

Is this typical of this embassy, where do i go from here as i am afraid to go back!

I still don't see the problem. Your passport has an expiry date. You know when you will be traveling. Just put the two together and allow a month in case it goes pear shaped.

Truth is that Passport Staff is really doing exceptional efforts to entertain as much people as they can on daily basis. But its also true that thousands Pakistanis living here on MANUAL Passports which can not be changed to MRP in a day.

I got mine one in 16 Days and bear in mind that it was just start of issuance process. Later as the load increased, issuance is delayig to sometime 25 Days for normal and upto 2 weeks for Urgent.

Emabssy observing Thursday as FAMILY DAY only for passports and rest of the days are normal open for all.
