Hello there,
My name is Dheeraj and i would like to know about the employment visa rules in Qatar.I am an MBA-London graduate with a bachelors in Engineering.I have over 3 years of Financial services experience and is currently based in London.

1) If the employer sponsor me for a visa, what are the rules regulating shifting of jobs? what are the visa and employment rules for moving to other GCC countries in future from qatar?

2)My wife is also and Engineering graduate and what are the rules that govern her working in Qatar?

Hoping for some credible answers...

Thanks in Advance..

May I add something?

As for the wife, she will not get paid as much as she would have been had she applied directly from the UK. I.e. she goes through the same process as if she is making a separate application. Having your wife here and then find her a job will get her less favourable pay package...at least this is what I understand.

If you don't have an NOC you must wait two years before you can work again in Qatar. You can immediately work in the UAE.

Hi,

could you please clear this doubt?

If i get into a job in qatar, i cant get NOC to work in another company..agreed..but

1)Are there any other option like.. coming back to india and getting a new visa? or any other options?

2)if i work in qatar now and later on if i want to work in another company in UAE, what are the rules governing this?

LP, they are not closing all Islamic banks, only the ones run by conventional banks. Sometime back Commercial Bank had already co-opted their Islamic bank into their conventional ops. Removing the distinct identity that it had

I see, skart. That's why they close all Islamic Banks, and that's why they sell alcohol worth 40 million Riyals each month. Cool.

to add what WK said,

Can't no1 : that's strict, you won't get NOC, normally, so you can't chnage job, however if it's some good professinal company, they do provide NOC for job change.

Can't NO2 to 6 : you'll get NOC very eaily for all this, any employer provide these NOCs.

as far your wife's job: yes she can work (some peper is mandatory which is not bothersome).

I am not very clear on that one as I have never personally married and hence never sponsored a wife's visa.

Wait for some of the married ones to come and reply.
