Hospital for child delivery
I am looking for the best OB clinic/hospital here in Qatar. Somebody recommends me DOHA Clinic, Hamad Womens Hospital some says AL Ahli Hospital. My question is which of this Hospital offers Painless child delivery and what was your experience during child delivery in the following hospital. Please advise so I could schedule my appointment. Thank you in advance.
So Brin, you are the one who meant that I had to wait hours every time I had an appointment - I think alot of women were pulling that trick. If we all did that the nurses would not be able to distinguish between someone who was 'trying it on' and a genuine emergency and miss something vital which would put the woman's life or the baby's life in danger. NOT TO BE RECOMMENDED - what gives you the right to jump the queue - JUST WAIT YOUR TURN LIKE ALL THE OTHER PREGNANT WOMEN we are all in the same boat don't forget.
Anyhow, in addition to this all the men would sit waiting for their wives on the sofas and chairs in OBGYN and when I dared to look at them as if to say 'get up and let a pregnant woman sit down' they would immediately turn away. Also the men used to sit down in the women's only section and only once did I see any member of staff asking the men to get up and let a woman sit down.
Al Ali is fine but they will push you to have a C section which you may or may not want.
Dont waste your valuable money in posh hospitals. Stick to Hamad Hospital.
I definately agree with MHC122001.
The waits at OB/GYN (even with an appt) are really long. The last 3 months, I just gave up and started going in saying I had some pains and needed a doctor. I was in within 15minutes. I know its not necessarily right but for a preggie woman sitting there for an hour, its not cool.
But, the doctors are amazing. And, once you get into the ward for your baby to arrive, its really wonderful and they are so attentive.
We also chose this hospital so that my husband could be in the room for the birth which was important to us.
I would definately have a baby there again if we get pregnant again (inshalla). Good luck!
I don't know if there's such a thing as 'painless' child delivery. But I've given birth at Al Ahli, and will do so again in a few months. It's not entirely hassle-free. But my only complaint was really that there were often long waits at the OB-GYN clinic even though I had an appointment.
The hospital rooms were wonderful during our stay, and all the staff were very friendly. I'm very happy with my OBGYN, Dr. Stefan. But of course it all depends on what you're looking for in a doctor. I've heard wonderful things about Dr. Rizvi there, as well.
All the best!
