HSBC Unfair Offer !!!
By ritesh bhakar •
As an HSBC Advance (Status) customer my Master card was upgraded to their new Platinum card by Customer service officer in Dec' 10. Now I came across an offer by HSBC in which they offered to HSBC status account customer to upgrade their Master card to Platinum and they give them 1500 QAR Travel Voucher and 25000 Air miles free.
As an existing customer with Platinum card I feel it is Unfair by an bank like HSBC.
Dont feel too bad about it, its not as rosy as it sounds. These are vouchers in various denominations , of QR 200, 100 etc that can only be used one at a time when you purchase a ticket , hotel etc ... . HSBC never gives anything for free .
the greed for money. nothing else
whyteknight i totall agree with what u mentioned we are facing that everyday.
ritesh bhakar you also need to ask the staff at the time of changing your card or whenever u reach the bank for anything . U should ask the staff for any upcoming offers if they know & always check their website to be more connected, updated and served in a current way of exploring appourtities.
Hahaha..
I bought a shirt from a store in 2006, just recently I saw a 75 % sale offer in that shop. DO you think they should pay me 3/4th of the amount I paid??? Lol..
try to talk to customer service
How is it unfair? They didn't promise you "1500 QAR Travel Voucher and 25000 Air miles" and then not give you. Right? They introduced this incentive later. It's unfortunate you missed out on it, definitely not unfair.
unfair? it was fair when you signed up so get a grip - banks do this all the time.
HSBC is the worst bank in Qatar.
It is worser than Mashreq, so that makes HSBC the worst bank in Qatar.
Send me a pm...I can for sure help...
Just apply for a second one.
That's what I did...

what you can expect from HSBC better go to local Qatari banks becoz their level of services is much better then HSBC.
