4 years later nothing has changed. Today there was fog and people are still stupid...

The authorities would need to be aware about the proper usage themselves to enforce it now, wouldn't they ? :P

It would be great if authorities do as you suggested coz so many hazard lights on road just annoy me??????????

usually i don't think , but when it is fog i turn them on because i like it that is all, and it is my opportunity to do this.

it looks like we are in a festival, then while stopping at the signal u start to think why the car in front of me its signal lights duration more that mine so i start calculating the difference between the sound in my car(tick...tick..tick...) and his lights.

this is usually what happen when i think :P

D**n i forgot to turn them on today.:(

Nudge just as well you didn't have to take a driving test in the UK - you would have failed.

Fog lights are for FOG - duh

Hazard lights are for an emergency when you are stationary.

Wouldn't it be great if the authorities pulled everyone off the road who is using hazard lights in foggy conditions?

Hazard? indicates you are stationary. Switch on your park/fog lights.

@ colt!!!! one is not supposed to drive with hazard signal switched on particularly while driving in Fog!!! just think if u need to apply emergency brake, how u'll caution the one at your back if your hazard signal already switched on !!!!!!!! Please all those driving in Fog with hazard signal switched on. Stop this practice and drive safe not only for yourself but for others on road as well.

These people are idiots. (The hazard lights indicate a STANDING, not moving object)

If you do that, then you need to remember to turn it off when using your turn indicators... this is what many people forget.

I read somewhere that it is not advisable to drive in fog with hazard lights on simply because of the fact that people forget this.

But I think EVERYONE should turn their headlights on.

Monkey see monkey do. They didn't really understand all the instructions before taking their driving license test.
