The Middle East/Gulf/World is awash with Indians. Every country has them, all seeking a better life or education for their children etc, etc. That is fine and commendable.

Yet, they all talk very ardently how good their education system is and how strong their economy is and how they are now a player in the world economy.

Indians hated the Raj and they hate the fact they were colonised by well, the English. However, if you look back it was not only the English, i.e the Portuguese in Goa. The Dutch were in India, so were so many others?

England had to declare war on Germany for the Indians as they were too scared to do it for themselves even though they had the back up of so many countries protecting them.

The English did a lot of good but it has to be said they were cruel. Then again so were the Indians. So let’s call it 50/50.

Yet the Indians have bought land in Africa, they control the press in the Gulf. They are colonising. They will never rule and that annoys them. There people are here on mass and yet they can’t control fully. It must be very frustrating.

Looking at some of the posts on QL; most that post are Indians, of course they are. They are the biggest population here. Yet, looking back over posts, the Indians are the first to shout racism and yet are so racist and patronising.

How come they are allowed to get away with this?

As per Talmiz Ahmad, the Indian ambassador to the UAE, in 2007 itself, of the 1.4 million Indians in the UAE, Keralites account for more than 50 percent.

He said that 70,000 Keralite expats availed the amnesty scheme launched by the UAE government (in 2007) for illegal immigrants to regularize their status or leave the country.

Analyzing this statistically;

Keralite population in 2007 = 700,000

Population availing amnesty for illegal entry/residence = 70,000

i.e. 10% of the declared Keralite population

Assuming that another 10% did not avail the scheme and continued their illegal residence due to

1) illiteracy

2) financial capability to regularize status

3) criminal

this would account for another 70,000, thus leading to a total of 840,000 keralites.

Considering the population growth in 2008, 2009 and 2010 at a respectable 6% average annual growth, this would amount to 1,000,453 mallus in 2010.

The Indian population in UAE is 1,750,000. That would mean that Keralites account for 57% of the Indians in UAE.

Natuurally when Lt. Dahi Kalfan Tamim expresses his fears about the rising expat population in UAE, he would be implying that Indians (The highest expat population) needs to be curtailed as they tend to dilute the UAE's cultural fabric. Which would in turn mean that 60% of the dilution caused by Indians is orchestrated by the mallus.

Mallusization of the emirates is so apparent and visible. They treat the UAE as another district of Kerala. Lungi clad men, walking the streets. Herds of people sitting on lawns all around the city, staring at the female of every species. 15-30 people living in a single room, sharing beds between shifts. 60% of the restaurants in the cities of the emirates serve mallu specialties.

Any local would shudder. Imagine the emiratis would one day have to live in those conditions!

Delving further into statistics;

Approximately 26% of Indian migrants live in apartments or villas in the large cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, while 15% live in rented rooms in cities. The remaining migrants (about one-third) live in collective labour accommodations (referred to as labour camps), such as those in Mussafah (Abu Dhabi) or Sonapur (Dubai). Approximately 88% of those living in collective labor accommodations live in rooms with an average occupancy ranging from four to eight

This would mean that only about 41% of the Indian population lives decently enough to a standard that the city would like to project its image to the rest of the world.

What all of this proves, without a shadow of doubt is that the image of Indians in the UAE has been irreparably tarnisished by the Mallus who are not able to live decently as expats in a foreign nation.

Jai Hind.

Sean-C. Do you think Keralites are only in Gulf states. They are around the world, we are proud of it. We are not entering the countries without their permission. They welcome us. Its because of our culture, qualifications and manyEven in gulf states, the people are coming with proper documents. They should have stopped the visas long back...why they didn't?. Living 15-20 people in a room is the situations. You can also see mallus staying in lavish villas and using luxurious vechicles. Its upto the job/position he do. 1. British Trade wasnt since time immemorial. It started in the early 17th century. the comparison between colonial powers and expats coming to the Gulf on govt issued visas for work needs quite a stretch of imaginaion!!

2. if the emirates dont want em anymore, they can act on it quite easily by stopping the visas. The quota he is talking about is for people of 'ALL' nationalities not any one section.Twisting is to suit one's prejudices isnt going to fool anybody.

3. Dwelling condition of Majority of keralites? Quite curious to know where your statistics come from. Check out how Pakistanis, Bengladeshi's or Nepalis in the same income bracket live. Its no different.

The British have had trade and political relationship with India from time immemorial. They never continued the colonization of India till date. The Portuguese, the dutch have all had trade relationships with many countries. Some they colonized. But when these states were granted/or gained independence, they repatriated themselves back.

Not the case with the keralites. They keep coming and keep coming and keep coming.

The Emirates do not want them anymore. How difficult is that to understand? The Emiratis feel threatened by their presence. What Lft. Dahi Khalfan Tamim expresses, reiterates the fact that they do not want them anymore.

Tamim described these expatriates are a threat to the UAE’s national identity, heritage and language and said the government had the right to protect these, according to Khaleej Times.

“Each country has its own rules and conditions and we have to do the same to preserve our national identity,” he was quoted as saying.

Its true. The keralites are not like any other race. They tend to Malabarize every place they go. Take Lulu's for example, a mini kerala! Check the dwelling conditions of the majority of these keralites? They are comfortable with living with 15-20 men in a room in the most unhygienic conditions.

Analyse history further my fried, who brought this culture of 15-30 men slumming in a room to the middle east?

And yes, this slumming leads to a lot of other associated problems which are no longer tolerable to the locals.

When we analyze the historical records, we find that in the pre-Islamic period, the ancient Arabian poet Umrul Qais (before the advent of Islam), has mentioned the relationship between Pepper, Kerala and Arabia in his poem. He has compared the bird droppings found on the courtyard of his lover to the pepper in Kerala.

The Greek and Roman medical record of those days has described pepper as the Indian Medicine. Arabs referred Kerala as the land of pepper. The word Malabar, used by Arabs, is partially a Persian word.

Swami Dayananda is if the opinion that Arabic scholars were present even during the era of Mahabharata. ‘In Mahabharata, when Kauravs plotted to kill Pandavs by burning them, Vidhuran informed Yudhishtar in Arabic language. Yudhishtar responded in the same language.’ At the time of King Solomon, gold used to be exported from a port called Ophir. A large section of historians say that Ophir was the same as Bepur at Calicut. Others say that Ophir was Poothar at Trivandrum. It was with the help of Ahmed bin Majid, a naval expert of Ras Al Khaimah, that Vasco Da Gama reached India. ( This has been proved wrong by Dr. Sheikh Sultan : Who guided Vasco Da Gama to India ? Not an An Arab !) The remains of Failaka Island at Kuwait reveal interesting facts about the Indo Arab relations. The artifacts discovered in 1958 by the Qanih archaeological team of the utensils, furniture etc were similar to those found at Calicut. This shows that there was a cordial trade and cultural relations between India and Arabia for more than 2000 years.

The trade relations between Arabia and Kerala(Old Malabar)are very ancient. Arab traders used to visit the Malabar region, which was a link between them and ports of South East Asia, to trade even before Islam had been established in Arabia. The long-standing Arab contact with the coastal areas of malabar has left its permanent mark in the form of several communities. These communities came into existence through the large scale immigration of Arab sailors and their families. Malabar and Kochi were the most important states on the western coast of India where the Arabs found a fertile soil for their trade activities. The community, which arose in Malabar as a result of the contact, is called the Mappilas, genetic studies have found identifiable genes from the Arab peninsula

well all of this is because of the ever increasing Indian population and especially unqualified, unskilled, uncivilized labor that gets in from Kerala.

UAE needs cheap labor to ensure continuance of growth and curb the downslide, but should immediately look at importing labor from countries other than India (accounting for 1.75m) and Pakistan (accounting for 1.25m).

Bans on Indians entering UAE or seeking renewal of Residence Permits are eminent and mallus will be the root cause.

As for the ban on pakistanis... no more pathans!
