its just to giv an idea tht if u r in development track, this z not the right place. thts it

Yes,...here u'll hav the exposure to deal with end to end implementatons and many things to learn ...

its good to hear about someone who is responsible, sensible.

god bless you, TC

@HDA ,

Yep, i can visualize what you are saying,

sure,that may happen .

But here many of them understands it wrongly when i talk about money......looks like they are thinking that i am coming here to save money for luxury life...Its not...I am making this move to clear my father deps... Even i can do that from INDIA, but it may take decades ..may be life time ..so just thought of coming there and clearing it in single short or as much i can before maa marriage ....Then i have to comeback and live my normal life in India....

Thats it...

Too add..

I am not a devoloper,

I Am a System admin ,into middleware administration & IBM AIX(UNIX)

I feel like i may get good exposure here ..bcos...In INDIA i was part of a team to handle things....But here i will be alone to manage stuffs...Were end to edn implementations will be done by me and maintained by me starting from DEv/UAT/PROD/ to COB

so i hope ..i may learn new things ..which may help me to move upwards..

Thanks a lot for your care..

in every walk of life though one may feel tht money is not the only thing tht is essential for life, at times it grabs our attention and dictates many things.

if u plan for a short stay like the way u r thinking now and execute in action also, i dont think it wld b tht much dificult. but wht happens in practical is..... first year/s goes in settling and exploring and doing the things u wanted to do for ur family etc...since everything is fine here and got adjusted to the comforts and dificulties, u wont mind extending ur stay for 1more yr and the life goes on. then the real problem comes in. u may miss many steps tht u r supposed to step in if u r in mainstream of IT especially if u r in development side.

if u r in other areas of IT, definately you may hav good experience over here as u get the chance to improve ur skills- like client handling etc...

but staying for short term is always the best thing.keep the contacts continue with the IT industry back home.

all the best for ur future.

My two cents..."gulf experience" does not add too much weightage to a resume. And in some cases, especially relocating to a western country, you might be put under increased scrutiny.

The only benefit you will have is financial. Your career will take a backseat, plus the work isn't all that "challenging" as compared to other countries. Also, with the rising cost of living here, savings are not what they used to be before. Think twice, decide what your priorities are.

Best of Luck.

No Pf, No Bonus, No gratuity, No leave except 30 days in an year. Away from family and friends. Don’t try to be only Financier to your parents.

Once you work in Gulf, you will not be able to move US as there will be lot of scrutiny.

If you have capability, move directly to US. You can get 3 - 4 times higher salary.

Thanks a lot guys, for your valuable comments and the care you guys took on me and my career....

@ hda

Yes ,i got your point....since this is a 1 year renewable contract ....i will be free after 1 year to move anywhere out ...so i will analyse the market and prepare my self to get a good pay asper that current market after on year .as of now i have planned to stay here for 2 years after that i wold move to INDIA/Singapore/US in project manager or some management grade ...will this work ???or will it be tough to find a job in india/US/singapore after gulf experience ....pls clear this buddy....

@ whyteknight

Bro, I can understand what you are talking about....

for me money matters as of now. I feel like, if i can save at-least 1.2 Lak per month after all my expense here....that will be great for me...So tel me now is my decision is gud ??

@ Shaine

Thanks for your care buddy,

Yes for me money matter for next 2 years, so after that i would walk away from gulf towards Singapore or US/UK or even back to India after my marriage ...So tel me is my decision is right ?? am in a correct track ??

you "But remember, loneliness, boredom, racism is all too common here..."

Yes thats true....i am coming there for earning...so i have to take up this.....but sure will find a way to cut this out once am in there .....

Thanks for your care brothers ...

If you are getting 65 K after tax in India then don't move here.. My sincere advice..

Forget the money being shown, forget the extra money you "can" save... You will see people having much less experience and knowledge than you earning much more than you, will create frustration in your professional life. You will most likely be reporting to someone who doesn't know shyte about your line of work..

Stay with Wipro, rest your call..

P.S.- I am skeptical about your work ex.. 6 years of IT work ex and 26 years old.. Are you an engineering graduate?

the salary is reasonable as of now and the expenses also.

you can take it up for the next 2 years.

keeping the growth and cost of living in mind, its advisable to hav a clear understanding with ur new employer as to how that will be addressed in future. you know well that there'll be lot of growth and projects wld b coming as Qatar is going to host the prestigious worldcup football 2022. In Qatar job change is dificult.b4 taking a decission u need to consider all these. Its always been a dificult task to re enter into main stream IT if u stay for long in middle east.
