Complication regarding wife's medical test
My wife arrived here on one month's visit visa on 13th November. I took her for medical in 24th Nov for visit visa extension. After the medical I was waiting and waiting for the result. I searched everyday in medical commission website but it showed under process, to be published soon. Then today I went to the medical centre personally and found that blood test needs to be repeated. When I said we did not get any message regarding this I found out they have made a mistake in the phone number. She did the blood test again today. But I am worried that as her visa expires on 13th december, next monday, only 2 working days are there in between.
if the results does not come out within monday, does she have to go back on 13th or there is a process to pay some fine and delay the stay for 3/4 days??? Is there no solution?? :(
If you could not extend her visit visa, she can stay in
Qatar but you have to pay QR200/day even up to half month or the next month. Just pay the penalty on the day she leaves Qatar but before the flight. You can do it at the Airport Immigration.
File right away for visit visa extenstion on 13 Dec. with the medical result. I understand you could not file for visit visa extension without the medical result.
Do not file for extension when the visit visa has expired as there is nothing to extend, say 14 Dec.
Your wife can stay here with present visa up 13/12/2010,i.e you want renew the visa only on 14/12/2010. Mostly your new medical test result will
update in MOI before this date, because normally its taking 3-4 working days if don't have further issues. Same time you can follow up with SCH. If unfortunately you cant renew on this date, you have to pay QAR.200/day as penalty and she can stay here, means they don't want to leave the county. This is from my experience.

Why you waited so long u should have gone after three days and inquire u tell u when ur on a visit after bthe medical if she or he is fit the report goes straight to the immigration cos it is a net work.They dont telephone u only if anything is wrong on the report they will call n inform u to do the medical test once again.I hope the answer is correct.Catch hold of somebody who can speak arabic to explain to that guy.... thanks..........good luck

I went there today to find out what's wrong... the guys in the follow up counter were speaking arabic though I spoke english to them, I did not understand, then they moved their hands signaling me to find a room going around the building... I am afraid I will not be able to explain the manual uploading of result and my urgency to them... :(

she went for medical, but there was some problem with the blood test. She did the repeat test again today. but due to wrong phone number entry we did not get the message in time that she needs to do blood test again... now only two working days left before visa expiry date to get medical result and extend visa. If result is not published within these two days, she has to leave or she can stay????

there is. 2 days are actually good enough. extension of visa only takes 5 mins.
You can also do one more thing. You can go to the medical commision (gents side) and ask them how to get results updated manually (this requires you to go to a diffrent room in the same vicinity and manually get signatures from docs and give it to the computer operator to update). The manual update process normally takes 15-20 mins (Please make sure u behave like a girl here and ask everyone possible about directions as there are high chances of getting lost).
As soon as you green signal after the update, you can go to the visa extension centre (messeimer is your best bet as it is less than 5 mins drive from the medical commission).
What type of visa is she holding Tourist visa or Family visit visa,if it is family visit not to worry if it is a tourist visa u will not get extension she has to leave the country and come back.For Tourist visa no need of medical. for family visit she has to go for medical.Keep the medical receipt with u the first one for proof incase anything goes wrong............good luck
