I understand that as of this year (April) women are able to sponsor their families. Has anyone been through this process (either as the woman or as the husband under wife's sponsorship)?

Also where can I find mention of this legislation? A link would be most appreciated.

Yes this is possible, Myself and my wife entered Qatar in September 2010 and she has sponsored me (The Husband). This has also happened for another family we know of.

I'll be looking forward for the answer in this question, recently I have posted if possible to sponsor my sister 'coz i pay more for my daughter's baby sitter, me and my husband both working and different sponsorship.. Really better to pay my sister once she's here instead of anyone else...
