Birth at Al Ahli

By kiterpilot •
We are planning to give birth at Al Ahli next month. We visited the facility a few months ago, and although we were armed with a bunch of questions, it seems another one has arisen, and maybe someone can help.
Do we need to book or register for a room...kind of in advance? Or do we just show up and say, "Hi, we are having a baby...where is a room"?
If I remember well what they told me when you come day time (and there are no major issue/emergency) go to their registration office ground floor and they will assist you and bring you to your room, if you arrive by night, registration office will be closed so go directly through the emergencies.
But my doctor was working in Al Ahli so we were going very often the last weeks for check up and they had all my medical record with them. The procedures may be different if your doctor is not in Al Ahli.
I would advice you to go again to Al Ahli, to validate everything with the lady from the registration office, to check what documents they need/will need from you (official documents / medical records / birth plan if you have one...)
Good luck for everything!
:) seems you're first time would be parents...
If you intend to receive in future any sort of medical help/treatment anywhere you have to register yourself before hand & after that it'll proceed smoothly till the final stage :)
