Case against man accused of cursing mum dismissed

A Doha judge has dismissed the case against a man (24) who was accused of “threatening and cursing” his mother in March 2010. The case was dropped after the local plaintiff told the court of first instance that she had decided to withdraw her complaint against her only son.
According to the charge-sheet, the son asked for money from his mother and when she refused he threatened and cursed her. She was forced to give him QR125. The mother said in the court that she wanted her son to concentrate on his job and to spend money wisely.

the son was accused of threatening and cursing. the case is all about the malice did by the son and not about the 125QR.

The dropping of the case is another thing. Nobody knows why the case was dropped but for sure it's for the better.

maybe that's the only amount his mother has on hand at that time and yeah he's really crazy for doing that to his mom

cos her maternal love took control,Allahu alam! Terrible for a son though to curse his own mother for a mere 125 bucks.. which makes me wonder what in the world did he need such a seemingly nominal amount of money for that would then drive him to such a rage? strange!

drmana, he did ask for the money first as written in the second paragraph and when his mother refused, he threatened and cursed her...

By somwerNdmiddle• 29 Sep 2010 13:59

well drmana only the mother can answer that question, i think.

it's just so irritating to read that her son got away with the offense, why threaten and curse your own mother for not giving you money when you have your own but does not spend it wisely?

By drmana• 29 Sep 2010 13:56
drmana

soniya, the case was about verbal abuse not money...

By drmana• 29 Sep 2010 13:55
drmana

then why leave in the middle way?

By soniya• 29 Sep 2010 13:54
soniya

That was the very nominal amount..Why hue and cry for this??

By somwerNdmiddle• 29 Sep 2010 13:53

maybe to teach him a lesson?

By drmana• 29 Sep 2010 13:52
