Bangkok to Doha
By MaureenWelan •
Hi! Any Filipino who went to Qatar and used Bangkok as their passageway to run away from many document requirements at the NAIA, please help me solve this. I need to know if once you are in Bangkok and you are ready for your flight to Qatar, do they ask your working visa to be stamped in your passport??? or are they contented if you just show the visa notice sent by the Qatar employer. Please, please, please,,, any prompt answer will be highly appreciated... thanks a lot!
Can you comment some updated procedures or questions to be ask in Clark Airport going to Bangkok. what are the documents needed. i think it has some changes nowadays
thanks.
.
Now I understand. Visa stamped in the passport is mandatory. As tourist make sure to show a round trip ticket to phil immigration officer or else you will not be allowed to leave Philippines. If the employer will pay for the plane ticket, then good for you guys. Best of luck.
If I were you , I would rather go through POEA. All you need from your employer is a copy of contract for you to accept and the rest of documents will be obtain in phil. It takes 1 week or more to authenticate the visa. while waiting for the authentication you can have the medical test in any accredited laboratories by qatar embassy. If you fail the medical test better not to come here in Qatar Go to POEA and ask all the documents you need to have the OEC. If you have all the requirement it should only take you 2 days to get the OEC.
The immigrations officer in Bangkok of course will not take interest for the visas not stamped in their passports, however, when you reached Doha, the immigration officer will of course looked for the visa stamped in the passport to register their entry in the country. How will they forward their respective passport to the Ministry of Interior in Qatar for the residence permit, without their visa stamped in their passport?Without the visa stamped in their passport the immigration officer in Doha will deny their entry to the country.
I want to share your problem. Your sponsor only knew About jumping point either Bangkok or Hongkong as Tourist, book a Hotel wether you are staying or not, even book a connecting flight with a gap at least three hours before departure.
I agree with your Sponsor, because some nationalities
does not required unlike Filipinos before leaving their
Country should have their documents authenticated to protect their workers incase of maltreatment, they can
seek for help at POLO OWWA, if they can Help?
Most of the Filipino wish to come to Qatar to look for a Job. Not only to Qatar also to other Middle Eastern, European and African Countries
as long as they are holding an Original douments notarized by their local Immigration office stated that they will be allowed to enter in that particlar Country even Visa not stamped in her/his passport. Country of Origin either Bangkok or Hongkong will check only the Blue Visa Copy, Return Tickets and visa message from the Departing Airline.
Qatar Immigiration rules has changed. The Visa should be
stamped in your passport. It is difficult for you to leave to Bangkok or Hongkong pretending as Tourist you will be Held at Manila Airpor if the Qatar Visa stamped on your passport.
I will suggest, better for your own good.
Find a Recruitment Agency in Manila to process your documents or Check any DHL office in the Philippines, they will tell you all requirements.
thank you again LincolnPirate and good day
If you just want to avoid the POEA documentation which requires a contract stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labor, and the Philippine Embassy in Qatar together with a power of attorney for a local agency, you should make a medical test and apply for the Visa at the Embassy in the Philippines via DHL. Then you can leave Manila as a tourist and board in Bangkok with the authenticated Visa. That's all.
I'm sorry if i sound annoying for you guys,, but i'm just asking coz that is the procedure instructed by the employer.. to go to bangkok first. those people going there are my husband, cousin and brother. they were once denied at the NAIA having no OEC and stamped visa... now the employer said,, they'll take bangkok and need not to process any paper anymore,,, but im worried that they'll be denied again.
Yes, you need the Visa to be authenticated by the Qatari Embassy in the Philippines.
one more thing,,,i heard if example from manila you flew to bangkok and from bangkok you will fly to qatar but you will not go outside the airport,, they said if example inside the airport you'll wait for your flight to qatar,,, is it true that you will not be required a visa.. actually i heard it from the personnel in qatar embassy here in the philippines when i inquire for procedure of visa stamping,,, im not sure if i heard and understood it correctly.
If you keep on asking better go to POEA and get the OEC. That's the best way to go here in Qatar.
Lincolnpirate, so,,,, i really need the stamp and sticker in the passport. have you been the same process???
You should book a flight to Bangkok as a tourist with a hotel voucher for a day or two. Qatar Airways in Bangkok will only look at the authenticated Visa in the passport for boarding, and in Qatar the visa sticker is enough for entry.
thanks for that,,, but how about when they are in NAIA,,, and they notice the qatar visa at the passport,, i'm afraid they might question it, coz they might be aware of just using Bangkok to avoid documentary requirement specifically OEC from POEA
You need the stamp from the Qatari Embassy in the Philippines on your visa sticker in the passport.
